Okay, what if the poor choices you made are irrevocable and will ultimately lead to your death...and you can't fix your situation now even if you do now see the choices were wrong and have learned from them and have changed your behavior.

If free will sometimes causes bad things to happen to you but also teaches you those lessons you need to learn, what good does it do you when you die from learning them? That just doesn't seem right.

Rumors of the finality of death are greatly exaggerated. Life goes on, and so does learning.
